Actually found at Arabia Meridiani ... When I found this spectacular face-like structure while boringly surfing Mars images via the Armchair Astronaut in April of 1999,  I have to admit I almost fell out of my chair with the rush of excitement that went through me!

Most people seem to recognize it as a face upon first seeing it.  In fact, many people believe this structure looks more like a modern humanoid face than most others found on Mars,  to date.   The Face at Arabia Meridiani is also much larger (in fact about 19 times larger) than the well known Face at Cydonia.

Unlike the Face at Cydonia, this face has been photographed upwards of 15 times at various times of the year and under varying lighting conditions. Like the Face at Cydonia, there are file photos from  the Viking and Mars Global Surveyor or Mars Orbital Camera programs.  A study of all photographs to date indicate that what we see is really there ... It's real, folks ... And as a matter of record,  the USGS has confirmed the legitimacy of the data in some well known e-mail correspondence.

I've been studying all available data on The Face at Meridiani and its surrounding features since finding it in April of 1999 and must report that its enigmatic existence is most perplexing.  As the following three image compilation will demonstrate,  if we adjust gamma, we can see much more than just the obvious humanoid face in this crater ...
 
 

As you can see in the above compilation,  on the left there appear to be linear walls associated with the face structure that form right angles on their ends.  Even more interesting,  in the image on the right, the hi-albedo (brighter) area of the crater directly above the Face at Meridiani,  there appears to be a second,  slightly larger and more artistic Face when the data is darkened. This second Face also appears to come complete with an ornate head-dress ...
